The dou­ble video instal­la­tion “Guys­gocrazy” was pro­duced in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Prague-based porno­graphic com­pany under the same name which orga­nizes large-scale orgies. The empty stu­dios were filmed before and after one of their events. A group pho­to­graph depict­ing the par­tic­i­pants con­cludes the installation.

On May 30, 2009 Asia Song Soci­ety will present Every thing must out going! an exhi­bi­tion in the form of a tem­po­rary pop-up shop at 45 Canal Street. Fea­tur­ing artist-produced printed mat­ter as well as lim­ited edi­tion sculp­tures, draw­ings, records, acces­sories, and cloth­ing, the exhi­bi­tion seeks to briefly repo­si­tion the way that art and com­merce play out aes­thet­i­cally and expe­ri­en­tially at ASS. Curated by Eliz­a­beth Lovero, EMOG fea­tures work by over 30 artists as well as an exhi­bi­tion design by archi­tect Rafael de Car­de­nas that incor­po­rates ele­ments of gallery and retail space.

‘Bohemian, the soon-to-open Noho sis­ter of a bar in the Nishi­az­abu dis­trict of Tokyo, is tucked into the back of a build­ing that used to belong to Andy Warhol. To reach the front door, you pass through a hall­way dubbed “Basquiat Road” (the artist died in his loft at this address). Once you’ve used your swipe key to get in (only 200 will be dis­trib­uted), you’re in an apart­ment­like, low-ceilinged room con­tain­ing just 25 plush seats, includ­ing a cou­ple of couches and a six-seat yel­low pine bar.’
